Okanagan College’s small campus experience helped me form lasting friendships. Additionally, the professors went above and beyond to provide a quality education as well as invaluable support. My experience was so beneficial and enjoyable that my younger sister also completed her Associate’s Degree at Â黨´«Ã½
Can you tell us how your experience at Â黨´«Ã½helped shaped the path you have chosen?
The professors were personable, accessible, and invested in our education. Overall, the quality of teaching at Â黨´«Ã½helped inspire me to pursue teaching as a career. I am now a full-time grade 8-12 Math/Science teacher in Prince George.
Why did you choose Okanagan College for your post-secondary education?
I wanted to study at a small campus, because I was moving from a foreign country and I struggled with adapting to new experiences. Okanagan College provided me with the small college experience that I was looking for.
Low cost was another major factor.
Tell us about a memorable experience or project that made a lasting impact on your learning journey at OC
My most memorable moment occurred in many of my science labs. They were a safe and supportive environment to learn, make mistakes, and learn from those mistakes. I used many of these memories as examples/stories in my own classroom today.
