Changes to Office Administration programs at OC
As part of ongoing program reviews, there will be changes to Office Administration offerings at 麻花传媒in the new year. These include:
- 罢丑别鈥痗ertificate will be offered by the School of Business online, with five intakes during the 2026/27 academic year. Admissions will reopen in March.
- The and certificates鈥痺ill be transferred internally to OC鈥檚 Arts and Foundational portfolio to better with similar programming. Admissions to the Kelowna Campus offerings remain open.
- Effective immediately admissions are paused to the Office Assistant Certificate, the Administrative Assistant Certificate and the Medical Administrative Assistant certificate. However, similar programs continue to be open and available to students through the InspirED catalogue, including: Introduction to Office Administration certificate, the Office Basics microcredential, certificate and certificate.
Current students enrolled in any of the above programs will not be impacted by the changes. They will be able to complete their programs as planned, with no disruption to their studies.
The Office Administration program has historically featured up to seven programs that were offered in a variety of delivery methods, both online and in-person. Student demand for the programs has changed for a variety of reasons, including lower international enrolment and the nature of careers in the area.
鈥淚鈥檇 like to thank long-time Office Administration program chair Brenda Ridgeley for her leadership and her commitment to the program and the entire team for working to adapt to future needs of students, the community and industry,鈥 said School of Business Associate Dean Aggie Weighill.
